SUBJECT: BBC MOURNS THE UNTIMELY PASSING OF BOB MABENA

DATE: 10 August 2020

The Black Business Council (BBC) joins South Africans in mourning the untimely passing of the legendary veteran radio and media personality, Mr Kgomotso Bob Mabena. Power FM released a statement announcing that the POWER 98.7 Breakfast Host passed away this afternoon, Monday 10 August 2020, at the age of 51. "We are very saddened by the passing of Mr Mabena, the renowned television and radio host. He was always willing to use his talents to give generously without expecting much in return. He was particularly amenable to the BBC and the black business project" said Sandile Zungu, President of the BBC. He had a passion of giving voice to the voiceless and particularly the marginalised black business. Condolences to his entire family and Power FM. May his soul rest in peace.
